VALERIO ZANOLLI
grew up in Torino and currently lives in Basel, where he is perfectioning his singing studies with Rosa Domínguez at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, receiving lessons by Margreet Honig and Paul Triepels and participating in masterclasses with Anthony Rooley, Andreas Scholl, Edoardo Torbianelli, Gerd Türk, Evelyn Tubb. His repertoire ranges from medieval to contemporary music, with particular focus on baroque music, german Lied and italian “belcanto”. Valerio is invited to perform with ensembles as Accademia del Santo Spirito, Ad Mosam (dir. Huub Ehlen & Bernard Voltèche), Cappella Murensis – Les Cornets Noir, Elyma (dir. Gabriel Garrido), Kammerorchester Basel and with conductors as Filippo Maria Bressan and Ottavio Dantone. Valerio performed for Abendmusiken in der Predigerkirche Basel, Händel-Festspiele (Halle, DE), Incanti (Torino), MITO Settembre Musica, Unione Musicale (Torino) and Opera Royal de Versailles (F). Valerio recorded for RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana. Valerio is founder and conductor, with A. Nordmann, of novantik project Basel.
