TYCHO HUPPERETS
Dutch born Tycho Hupperets (1987, Maastricht, NL) worked for four years with ‘Het Nationale Ballet’, after graduating at the Balletakademie München in 2007. Due to a serious ankle-injury, but also because of great interest in other art forms, Tycho decided to take a break from the high physical demands of the ballet vocabulary. He started to study photography at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague (NL). This enabled him to explore a world ‘behind the spotlights’, in which he could challenge his capabilities of self-creation, cooperation and building up own projects.
Not regretting to have taken a break from dancing (the injury is luckily hardly apparent), he now works as a freelance artist in order to continue his background in ballet, theatre and performing arts. In 2013 he danced at the Origen Festival Cultural.
