Meri Tankka began her studies at Dance School Liisa Nojonen and in 2005 she received her degree from Tampere Conservatory. Meri started at Pori Dance Company in 1999 and has performed in almost every creation since. She has toured with the company for example in South-Korea, Germany, Sweden, France, Russia and Scotland. She has received several prizes in competitions, for instance at Concours Euro-Dance held in Paris in 2007 she was awarded as the best dancer of the competition. Meri also works as a teacher at Dance School Liisa Nojonen and in addition she has worked as an assistant to Liisa Nojonen since 2002.
