JULIANO NUNES
Trained at the Brazilian Dance Conservatory in Rio de Janeiro, Juliano Nunes (born in 1990) furthered his studies at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts. Joining Companies such as Royal Ballet of Flanders, Leipzig Opera Ballet, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and Stuttgart Gauthier Dance. He has worked with choreographers such as William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon, Hans van Manen, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Yuri Grigorovich or Akram Kahn.
He has gone on to receive critical acclaim for his own choreography worldwide and has created pieces for the Royal Ballet in London, Nederlands Dans Theatre 2, Acosta Danza in Cuba, Ballet Jazz de Montreal, São Paulo Companhia de Dança, Norwegian National Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Zürich Ballet, Philadelphia Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet West, Hannover Staatsoper, Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro San Carlo and creates for the Netflix series «Tiny Pretty Things». He is currently resident choreographer with Philadelphia Ballet.
For the Origen Festival Cultural he created and danced «Cor» (2020), «Bird» (2021), «Inner» (2021), «Lacuna» (2022) and «O'Clock» (2023).
