EDWARD LLOYD KITCHEN
Edward Lloyd is a dance artist, researcher and choreographer based in Amsterdam. He holds a BA in Ballet and Contemporary Dance from Rambert School (2012) and has continued his self-directed education in the field of Performance Studies. Having experienced many different dance styles and techniques from Classical Ballet, Ballroom, Voguing, Cunningham and Butoh; his current dance practice attempts to approach the body as an embodied archive through improvisation and instant composition. His most notable collaboration as a performer has been with choreographers Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten (ICK dans amsterdam). He has also worked as a performer with, among others, Kris Verdonck, Ula Sickle, Emanuel Gat, Nacera Belaza, Tina Tarpgaard and (LA)Horde.
For Origen he danced in the music theatre «Kaiserin Irene» in Winter 2022 and conducted a workshop with students from the University of
St. Gallen (HSG) in autumn of the same year. 2023 he was dancing in «Ore to a March» by Thiago Bordin.
