ASHA BENJELLOUN
Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, Asha Benjelloun began her training at Pennsylvania Regional Ballet. She moved to San Francisco in 2014 to continue her training at Alonzo King Lines Ballet Training Program (2016). Upon graduation, she joined Maurya Kerr’s tinypistol, where she remains a frequent collaborator. She has also worked with companies such as Dawsondancesf and The Cambrians. She has had the privilege of performing works by Adam Barruch, Peter Chu, Marco Goecke, Robyn Mineko Williams, and Ohad Naharin among others. She’s spent summers at LINES Ballet, Gaga Summer Intensive (Tel Aviv and Barcelona), and Springboard Danse Montreal. After spending one year with Hubbard Street’s Professional Program, Asha was invited to be an Apprentice for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s 2019-2020 season and as a guest artist for their 2021-2022 season. Currently, she is based in Den Haag, Netherlands, and is working as a dancer and most recently as a movement director for companies such as Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld.
At Origen she danced in «Venom» (2022) by Luca Andrea Tessarini.
