THE BUILDING
Subtle Interventions
Few, minimal interventions left the stable building mostly with its own character. The roof has been insulated and reconditioned. An efficient underfloor heating has been installed in the theatre hall. Large windwo panes create the sealing of the room and allow daylight to shine through.
Specatacular Light
The stable of Monsieur Carisch allows a spectacular light. Through wooden decorations on the facade daylight can shine sparingly inside and creates a mystic atmosphere. Although the sun moves around the building, the outside-world is never visible.
New Rooms
A new concrete staircase connects the Foyer in the former shed with the large theatre hall and the small hall in the upper floor. The latter can be used for readings, chamber concerts or small conferences.
