Sophie Flannery Prune Vergères
was born on the 19th of June 1991 in San Francisco. She had her first ballet classes at the private ballet school in her hometown Münsingen in Switzerland. At the age of 16 she was accepted at the ballet school of the Hamburg Ballet, to finisch her education. During this time she was awarded the «Migros Kulturpreis» three times in a row. After her education she was a part of the Hamburg Ballet with Jon Neumeier from 2010 - 2014. There she gained a lot of stage experience in classical and neo-classical dancing. In 2014 she went to the Hessisches Staatstheater, where she worked with choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Itzik Galili, Vaslav Kunes, Richard Siegel and Marco Goetzke. Her love for contemporary dance grew and she wanted to work as a freelance dancer. She lives in Berlin since 2017 and dances from project to project or works as a choreographer.
