Nina Tonoli

Nina Tonoli born in Gent (Belgium) started her studies in 2005 at the Royal Ballet School Antwerpen. In 2009 she went to the Royal Ballet School London where she graduated with honor certificate. In 2012 she joined the Wiener Staatsballett. She was announced semi-soloist in 2014 and was promoted to soloist in 2016. Her most important roles at the Wiener Staatsballet so far comprise Lise in Frederic Ashton's «La fille mal gardée», Clara in Rudolf Nurejews «Der Nussknacker», Gerda in Michael Corders «Snow Queen», Gulnare and Odalisque in Manuel Legris «Le corsaire», Clemence in Rudolf Nurejews «Raymonda», Third movement in George Balachine's «Symphony in C», Baldina in John Neumeiers «Le Pavillion d'Armide», coulante fairy and Pas de quatre in Peter Wrights «Sleeping Beauty», Pas de cinq and Bride in Rudolf Nurejews «Swan Lake», Kitris Friend and first Bridesmaid in Rudolf Nurejews «Don Quixote», Pas de deux in Pierre Lacottes «La Sylphide», Prinzessin Louise in Kenneth MacMillans «Mayerling», Pas de deux from Joseph Lazzinis «La fille mal gardée», Winter in Jerome Robbins «Four Seasons», Second detail from William Forsythe, Four last songs from Rudi van Dantzig, Valse Fantasie from Georgia Balanchine, Thema Varie in Serge Lifars «Suite en blanc», Mozart à Deux from Thierry Malandain, Eventide from Helen Pickett.

 

In 2009 she was awarded the 2nd Prize and the Special Prize of the Jury «Janine Stanlowa» at the «Le Chausson d'Or» Paris.
