MARCUS NIDERMEYR
received his vocal education in Leipzig, Vienna and Basel. His preference for classical song led him to Dalton Baldwin, Norman Shetler and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. He studied historical performances with René Jacobs. Ever since he won an award at the International Bach competition in Leipzig in 1998, he is a much sought-after musician all over Europe. His repertoire consists from Monteverdi up to contemporary classical music. He performed amongst others with Jordi Savali, Sigiswald Kuijken, Michel Corboz, Ton Koopman, Peter Schreier, Helmuth Rilling, Reinhard Goebel and ensembles such as the Cantus Célln, the Thomanerchor Leipzig, the Kreuzchor Dresden, the Bachchor Munich, the Nederlandse Bachvereiniging or the Wiener Akademie. He also worked with the Carmina Quartett Zurich, Christine Schornsheim, Norman Shetler and Gérard Wyss. He has performed various parts of his register in Leipzig, Basel and Vienna.
