went to the Swiss Ballet School before studying music in Basel. She studies with Michel Rouilly at the Zurich University of Arts, where she graduated in 2010. She performed with several ensembles such as the Carmina Quartett and was invited to the international string symposium in Stellenbosch (South Africa). Madlaina Degen won the award of the Koeckert-sompetition in 2009. 2011 / 12 she was an intern at the Basel Symphonic Orchestra.
