KRISTINE JAUNALKSNE
was born in Riga and initially studied choral conducting at the Conservatory Lativa. under her conducting the girls chamber choir Tonika won several international competitions and prizes. From 2000 - 2006 Kristine Jaunalksne studied vocal at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Andreas Scholl and Evelyn Tubb and at the Conservatory Neuschâtel with Jeanne Roth. She is currently working with Svetlana Nesterenko. She sings as a soprano in smaller ensembles such as the Collegium Vocale Gent conducted by Peter Phillips. Furthermore, she performs as a soloist and focuses on musical-dramatic pieces.
