JUANJO ARQUES
The spanish soloist dancer and choreographer, Juanjo Arques, studied at the Conser vatorio Profesional de Danza de Murcia and in Jose Antonio Robles Carmina Ocaña’s School in Madrid, before joining the Ballet Victor Ullate in Madrid. Having reached soloist level in Spain, Arques moved to London and the English National Ballet next, before finally settling in Amsterdam at the Dutch National Ballet as a second soloist. Alongside his dancing career, Arques, a gifted choreographer, creates pieces with modern language. His work is fueled by a desire to communicate thought provoking material. Juanjo Arques choreographed for the Origen Festival Cultural the performance «Carolingians» in 2014 and «Departure» in 2015.
