JOHANNES SCHWENDINGER
The young bass sings at the Origen Festival Cultural since 2009. He gained further stage experience at the Bregenz Festival, the Vorarlberg Landestheater, the Innsbrucker Festwochen, the Carinthian Summer, the Styriarte and the Wiener Osterklang. Highlights were the title role in the world premiere of the Handel fragment «Gensericos Rache» at the Handel Festival Halle (2012), Der Jäger in J. Weinberger's «Wallenstein» with the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by C. Meister in Vienna (2012), Haydn's «Die Schöpfung» in Göttingen (2013) and Schumann's oratorio «Das Paradies und die Peri» at the Vienna Konzerthaus (2013). Johannes Agenda 2019 is symbolic of his wide-ranging repertoire. He embodies the Frank aus Strauss operetta classic «Die Fledermaus», Dr. Bartolo in Mozart's master opera «Le Nozze di Figaro», Prince Pepito in the world premiere of Jörg U. Krah's children's opera «Princess LoveLove» and sings Mendelssohn's «Elijah» at the Musikverein with the Concentus Musicus at the side of Florian Bösch.
