Joel Paulin was born and raised in Sydney, Australia where he attended Tanya Pearson’s Classical Coaching Academy. At the age of 16 he moved to Munich to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München under the direction of Jan Broeckx. In 2015 he was engaged by John Neumeier and Kevin Haigen to begin working with the National Youth Ballet of Germany (Bundesjugendballett). Since he started working with the National Youth Ballet he has toured to China, Switzerland and around Germany dancing repertoire from choreographers such as Natalia Horecna, Yuri Yanowsky, Yuka Oishi and naturally John Neumeier.
