Eelke van Koot
The Dutch tenor Eelke van Koot initially studied philosophy at the universities of Nijmegen and Amsterdam, where he discovered classical singing. Subsequently he started studying with Pierre Mark at the Conservatory van Amsterdam and graduated with Werner Güra at the Zurich University of the Arts. Furthermore, he took classes with Udo Reinemann, Margreet Honig and Christian Oelze.
His repertoire ranges from pieces by Bach (St. Johns Passion, Magnificat), Monteverdi (L'incoronazione di Poppea), Purcell (Dido and Aeneas, The Fairy Queen), to Mozart (La finta Giardiniera, Der Schauspieldirektor) up to contemporary pieces (Rob Zuidam: Rage d'amour). Moreover he worked with several orchestras like the Residentieorkest or the Zeeuws Orkest and renowned conductors like Simon Rattle, Jos van Veldhoven and Otto Tausk.
