CHRISTOPHER JOHN PARKER
Christopher Parker comes from the United Kingdom and graduated from the Royal Ballet School in London. After his first engagement with the Scottish Ballet, he was a member of the Ballett Zürich from 2007 to 2010. He then danced with Aalto Ballett Essen and Ballett Dortmund. He returned to Ballett Zürich in 2012 until 2019. He has appeared as Benvolio in «Romeo & Juliet», Valerio in Christian Spuck's «Leonce and Lena» and as the Magician in Marco Goecke's «Petrushka». He also danced solo roles in Christian Spuck's «Sonett», Balanchine's «The Four Temperaments», «New Sleep» and «In the middle» by William Forsythe.
Since 2018 he has been designing bespoke handmade clothing. As costume designer he worked with Creative Arts Davidson on a redesign of the original 2015 creation Sonata. He has worked with Filipe Portugal for works with the Junior Ballet Zürich, Charlotte Ballet and the Stuttgart Ballet. Other pieces include creations for Ballet Zürich's Young Choreographers Evening and Ballet Galas.
At the Origen Festival he created the costumes for Craig Davidson's «Existentia» (2020).
